Cougars and their cubs are not interchangeable spare parts...the dating field is too diverse to allow the streotypical generalizations to prevail.
Thus far, I have seen the following basic basic categories of cougar/cub relationships:
1. Sugar momma with $$$ 2. Nymphos R Us Both 3. Desperate - bombed out in peer group age range so trying another age range on for size 4. Total Romantics 5. Boy Toy 6. Mrs. Robinson - first time experience/curious

Not a sugar momma...I don't want to "purchase" a relationship - I think it would depress me. I don't knock anyone who does though. Works for some...
Not a nympho...very selective.
Not desperate although it can get lonley waiting for the right one to find you or for you to find him especially if you are being "selective"...see above.
Don't believe I am here looking for my soul mate but if there is one thing I have learned...don't ever say never!

Having been the bookish sort growing up, I have actually yet too be in a relationship, something my parents occasionally bug me about. I have now found myself here actually seeking one. Can't say how thankful I am of the internet at present.

I can dig what missterious one is saying. Coming from the cub point of view I think a cougar is so much sexier than a girl my age because she is a woman, a strong, self-confident woman. To me there is nothing sexier than a woman who knows how to handle herself and isn't afraid to get what she wants. Cougars do just that, and the experience fact just adds to the greatness of them. Just the way they carry themselves is a turn-on for me. I'd probably take a good cougar over a girl my age any day :-)
